Short Biography
Born in a medium class family, Mother, Angela Filip was a member of "Sburatorul" cenacle headed by Eugen Lovinescu and a former secretary of Mary, Queen of Romania. Collaborated with Verghi Miller in translating  "Queen Maria's Memories".
Member of Photographic Artists Association and of Romanian Journalists Association, parochial consultant of "The Saint Apostles Peter and Paul" church in Bucharest.
Graduated ICF (Physical Education Institute) in Bucharest. During 1953-1956 worked as a photoreporter for "Viata Capitalei" (Capital's life" and "Steagul Rosu" (The Red Flag) newspapers, collaborating with prestigious photoreporters as Matei Matias (famous Berman's student. Berman is considered the first Romanian photoreporter in the modern journalism history), Ion Chananel, Mircea Ferester, Mircea Lastnic and Milica Radulescu. Excluded from the"socialist press" because of his "unhealthy social origin", worked for the next seven years in art photography in Duboka and Vladimir's studios. In 1963 returned back to photojournalism activities, specializing in sport photography at ICF until 1969. Starting 1969 works in comercial advertising photography at RECOM; a permanent collaborator (full tenure accorded to Party members only!) at "Viata Studenteasca" (Student Life) journal, 1978 - 1989.
From 1970 he joins the research activity at "Dr. Victor Babes" medical Institute, coordinating the Photo Laboratory activities at Anatomy, Pathology, Genetics and Imunology institutes. Among his works are the iconography of medical manuals (as "Pathologic Anatomy", 3 volumes) and belletristic works ("Rodica Maniu painter".
After December 1989 (Romanian Revolution) has been working for many publications, contributing articles and photographic reports to "Romaia Libera", "Express", "ZigZag", "Cotidianul", "Cuvantul" (The word), "Acuz" (Accuse). Member of AZR (Romanian Journalists Association).

Awards: Recipient of numerous awards in Romania and abroad (Norway, Germany, Canada). Among them, Excellence Prize, Bucharest City Council, 1998.

These books are true sources of information, printed in additional editions to cover the public interest.
An excellent portraitist and reporter, has been working for many years for many Romanian publications which can afford a true, high quality photography.
